# Conversational analytics

Measure how the agent performs on conversations — volume, intent, signals, sentiment, and language.

Conversational analytics measures how the agent performs on the conversations it handles. These are the Conversations widgets on the [Dashboard](/user-guides/analytics/dashboard/) and the Conversation Signals in [Reports](/user-guides/analytics/reports/). Add any of them from the [Add Widget](/user-guides/analytics/dashboard/) modal, and view each as a KPI, a line, or a bar chart.

## Where to start

Check [Conversation metrics](/user-guides/analytics/conversation-metrics/) for the health of the agent (resolution and handoff rates), then use [Signals frequency](/user-guides/analytics/signals-frequency/) and [User intent](/user-guides/analytics/user-intent/) to decide what to add to [Actions](/user-guides/authoring-actions/) or [Knowledge](/user-guides/knowledge-base/). [User sentiment](/user-guides/analytics/sentiment/) tells you how those conversations felt.

For the full workflow — reading these widgets in order, turning what you find into a filtered reading list in [Conversations](/user-guides/conversations/), and ranking the resulting fixes — see [Analyzing conversations](/user-guides/analytics/analyzing-conversations/).
