# User intent

See what users are trying to do, classified into intent categories over time.

**Path:** Analytics → Dashboard → Conversations

User Intent classifies what users are trying to do in a conversation. The widget lists each intent as a horizontal bar with its conversation count and share (for example, "Action Request — 71 · 83.5%"). The header shows the overall signal trend against the previous period (for example, "+4.9% signals vs previous period").

## Intent categories

Foldspace AI-classifies each conversation into one or more intents. Signals **can overlap**, so one conversation may appear in several intents.

| Intent | What it means |
| :--- | :--- |
| **Information Request** | The user is asking for information. |
| **Action Request** | The user wants the agent to do something. |
| **Reported Issue** | The user is reporting a problem. |

## Read it

- **Hover an intent's bar** to see its change against the previous period and its count out of total conversations (for example, "+2.9% · 71 of 85").
- **A rising Reported Issue share** signals a product problem worth investigating.
- **A shifting intent mix** tells you what users increasingly come to the agent for.
- Because intents overlap, the shares don't sum to 100%.
- Filter by **Agent** or **time range**; in [Reports](/user-guides/analytics/reports/), break User Intent down by intent for a full time series.
